    Aerial Lineman | Nationwide | WP Telectronics

    • Wage: Piece Rate average up to $550/day

    Company Description:

    We are looking for an experienced and productivity-driven Aerial Lineman to join our expanding team. In 2026, we have existing and new projects spanning from Ontario to BC. Each project provides the opportunity for technicians to maximize earning potential and contribute to connecting Canadians.

    We are one of Canada's leading telecommunications contractors, servicing major clients such as Telus, Sasktel, Bell, and many others. WPT is positioned for significant growth as our partner clients undertake large-scale capital projects to expand Canada’s telecom infrastructure. Our reputation for industry‑leading quality and efficiency has made us a long-standing contractor of choice.

    Job Duties:

    • Place and pull various telecommunication cables including copper, coax, and fibre on both aerial and underground infrastructure
    • Enter telecommunication manholes for the purpose of installing telecommunication cables
    • Install, remove, and transfer aerial telecom structures such as hydro poles, steel strands, lashing wire, and fibre cable
    • Install telecom pedestals and vaults
    • Read and interpret telecom design prints and update based on progress, changes, and field findings
    • Drive and maneuver large vehicles and equipment such as bucket trucks, flat decks, and reel trailers in tight spaces and easements
    • Climb hydro and telecommunication poles using spurs with climbing belt, and ladders with harness
    • Maintain a driving log, keep a clean and organized vehicle, perform daily vehicle inspections, and participate in daily FLHAs
    • Perform other duties as requested

    Fibre Splicer | Nationwide | WP Telectronics

    We are looking for a motivated and productivity-oriented Fibre Splicer to join our expanding team!

    We are one of Canada's leading telecommunications contractors, servicing major clients such as Telus, Sasktel, Bell, and many others. WPT is positioned to continue its significant growth as our partner clients undertake large scale capital projects to expand Canada's telecom infrastructure. Our reputation for industry-leading quality and efficiency has made us a long-standing contractor of choice.

    Job Duties:

    • Build fibre optic splice closures (FOSCs), prep, and splice OSP fibre cables into various FOSCs
    • Dress and mount aerial FOSCs and cables. This may involve using a bucket truck, ladder, or climbing telecommunication poles with spurs. Working heights range from 15-40ft
    • Dress and rack FOSCs and cables in pedestals, service boxes, vaults, and manholes
    • Use OTDR, OLTS, and Power Meters to test, analyze, and troubleshoot fibre networks
    • Read and interpret telecom design prints and update based on progress, changes, field findings
    • Safely drive and maneuver vehicles into tight spaces and easements.
    • Perform other duties as requested

    • Comfortable working alone and independently for days and weeks at a time

    Company Description:

    W.P. Telectronics is a proudly Canadian-owned telecommunications contractor trusted by major clients including Telus, Bell, SaskTel, and others. We are currently hiring experienced Copper Splicers with aerial experience to support active and upcoming projects across Canada.

    This role is best suited for skilled, productivity-driven technicians who are comfortable traveling and working in the field.

    Job Duties:

    • Perform copper splicing for telecom networks, ensuring signal quality and continuity
    • Install and repair copper and fibre cables (aerial, underground, buried)
    • Dress, mount, and rack aerial and underground FOSCs and cables
    • Test splices and circuits using approved testing equipment
    • Read and interpret telecom design prints and update field documentation
    • Work safely at heights (15–40 ft), in confined spaces, and near energized lines
    • Operate splicing tools, power tools, bucket trucks, and company vehicles
